WHAT IS MASONRY?

Masonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization. It is guided by the enduring belief that each man has a responsibility to make the world a better place. For 300 years, Freemasonry has enhanced and strengthened the character of individual men by providing opportunities for fellowship, charity, and the search for truth – within ourselves and the larger world.

Our continuing pursuit of truth, knowledge, ethics, and leadership skills makes us better men and brings more meaning to our lives. Learning the tenets of Freemasonry, paired with being an active part of our community, gives us the opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills, and builds self-discipline through commitment and self-confidence.

HAVING AN IMPACT

As a member of the Freemasons, the Grand Lodge of California, and Newport Mesa Lodge No. 241, we are a part of a worldwide organization that values tradition, history, and timeless wisdom. The traditions and core values of our fraternity are meaningful today and will endure for centuries to come because of our direct impact in our community, through our charities, and on a personal level.

EDUCATION

Like secular education, Freemasonry transmits knowledge for the purpose of self improvement and a connection to something higher. It teaches through initiatory rites, deep symbolism, and spiritual tradition. While not a religion, its teachings are in harmony with the essential lessons of the world’s religions and have the effect of enhancing the experience of one’s personal spirituality. The capable student will translate these lessons and experiences into his daily life and actions.

FRIENDSHIP

Masonry is a community of men and their families who share similar beliefs and values. The fraternity finds it important to connect with other men of honor, compassion, love, trust, and knowledge, regardless of their race, color, religious beliefs, political views, sexual orientation, physical ability, citizenship or national origin. We are friends and brothers, and are connected through this vital and uplifting organization of moral men.

Hey everyone! It’s that time again. Time for our Lodge Trap Shooting event. It will be a challenging and fun time. This event is open to everyone…Mason’s, family, and friends.
•
Venue: Prado Olympic Shooting Park
Address: 17501 Pomona Rincon Rd, Chino, CA 91708
When: 6/9/2024 (Sunday)
Time: 9:00 A.M.
Cost:
$20 per gun rental (must use their ammo).
$10 per box of 12ga (25 shells).
$9 per round of trap (25 clay targets).
Lunch: All That Barbecue - Korean BBQ (all-you-can-eat)
Time: 11:30 A.M.

Additional Information:
Children must be at least 12 years-old to participate and prove they can properly handle the shotgun.
Don’t worry if you have never shot trap before. It’s all for fun and easy to learn.
You can bring your own shotgun but you must use their ammo (12 ga.). It’s their rule.
Worshipful Shumate has two guns that anyone can utilize.

Parking: $15.00 (per vehicle)

Location: We will be setting up at the south end of the beach (picnic area 12C). Refer to the attached map for directions to the picnic area. Restrooms and parking are conveniently located close to our picnic site. If you were there last year, it is in the same spot.

What a fun evening! 😎🤘🏼🔥
Sunday, March 10th 2024; Newport Mesa Lodge No. 241 went to a 5:00 P.M. hockey game. The Anaheim Ducks were playing the New York Islanders! Although the Anaheim Ducks lost 6 to 1, we still had an amazing time spent with Brothers, family and friends. As an added bonus the @anaheimducks added a message on the Jumbotron, during the first intermission, at the request of the organizer of this event. The message read, “Welcome Newport Mesa Lodge No. 241!” You’ll see the message if you scroll through the pictures in this posting. It was a pleasure doing business with the @anaheimducks and the @hondacenter. We will definitely be booking another event next year! If you like hockey, make sure to watch our social media channels for upcoming Anaheim Ducks games we will be attending.
